Our Camp

We want to build living municipality. By the KonfiCamp our joy in the Christian's being should be experienceable and in the church municipalities hineinstrahlen. Young Christians should experience Protestant culture in community and stamp and do thus spiritual experiences under the uniting mind of God. They should be inspired by the church and develop thus a positive self-confidence as believing Christians. Youngsters should discover church as a native country and find a lasting home in the local municipality in the form of youth groups.

The Camp is

- a project of the Protestant churches of Rothenburg, Detwang, Bettenfeld and Leuzenbronn
- an interface between confirmand's work and youth work
- confirmation classes in the large size
- confirmation classes with elements oriented to action and oriented to experience
- Leisure activities for youngsters

Lived belief experience

Now for four years there is the Rothenburger KonfiCamp. The KonfiCamp is for the confirmands and female confirmands from 5 municipalities of Rothenburg the beginning of her confirmand's time. They find out during eight days of the camp elements of her Christian belief. Daily the confirmands and female confirmands work during 4.5 teaching hours in small groups or in the plenary meeting on the subjects. Besides, they find out how honorary and full-time employees and female employees live her own belief, can express her own belief in different kinds, questions put.... The teaching units are tuned to the needs the confirmands and female confirmands and contain many and creative elements oriented to experience. Christian faith ends not after teaching end, but is also lived in the living together the confirmands and female confirmands with the employees and female employees. Festive climax of the camp is the Communion service and the baptism, or the baptismal recollection in the sea. Always anew other camping company also comes to this service.
